Small Pleasures
Finding pleasure in simple things,
that's just part of a cowboy's way,
of shrugging off the hardships,
and getting through the day.
Riding circles through the timber,
just searching for some sign,
of a half dozen missing cows...
I found their trail by nine.
I tracked them 'til darn near sunset,
through the cold and drifting snows,
finally knew I was gaining ground...
when I found a turd that wasn't froze!
